Important Information for a Smooth Safari Conclusion

Trophy Handling:

​

 All field preparations are expertly managed by our well-trained staff. Hides are meticulously skinned, tagged, and chemically preserved before being transported to our local taxidermy or dip & pack agent. Lemmer African Adventures will handle all necessary documentation and arrangements to ensure your trophies are safely and legally exported.

Taxidermy:

                        Oberholzer Taxidermy                      

 

 

Taxidermy Procedure:

​

  1. Trophies are sent to the taxidermist.

  2. Skins are dried, and skulls are bleached, a process that takes about 30 days.

  3. Skins are tanned, and trophies are mounted, typically taking 60-90 days.

  4. Export documentation is applied for from the government.

  5. The client is invoiced, and payment is received.

  6. Trophies are packed and crated for shipment, with an average turnaround time of 9 months.
